Conserve Water Now, Save 2% for Utah!

Save 2% for Utah is a campaign to prioritize water conservation as a viable source of water as our state continues to grow. Utah residents have some of the highest municipal water use per person in the U.S., and many believe Utah could do more to conserve water in our state.

Over 50 businesses are leading the way by asking Governor Cox to adopt a reasonable and sensible water conservation goal of reducing per person water use by 2% per year for 25 years.

The current water conservation goal for Utah is to reduce water use 0.5% per year from 2019-2060, led by the Utah Division of Water Resources, which decreased the previous goal by Governor Herbert to reduce water use 1% per year by 2025. It’s time to take water conservation seriously as this multi-decade drought continues to reduce water in our rivers and streams.

The letter to Governor Cox can be found below. If you have a Utah business and would like to help make water conservation a priority, you can sign your business up by clicking the “Sign the Letter” button. There is no financial requirement to join and no other action is required by your business after signing.

If you are an individual and want to show your support of 2% for Utah, you can sign the Change.org petition to tell Governor Cox you want to save 2% for Utah!
